Yeah, and this is Giles, not Ripper - once he realises that he doesn't have to repress or be afraid of his darker side, because he owns it, it doesn't control him, he'll be far more effective. The stuffy, tweedy stuttery guy was what he thought he should be, rather than all he could be.
