a/n: OH MAN, I'VE MISSED THESE TWO SOOOOOO MUCH. I JUST. They're original characters; I created Edward, and Kelsey (
indelible_x) created Ezra. Their whole...crazy adventures and such started about...a year and a half ago? Almost two. I want to bring them back, I hope you enjoy. ♥
“Five hot dogs, please.” Edward asked the vendor, pulling out the wad of crumpled bills from his back pocket. “Are you really going to eat all of those? Geez, you're a fatty.” Ezra chuckled.
Edward made the popular exchange of money for food and laughed, holding out the foil wrapped pork-in-a-bun for the blonde man to take. “Don't be jealous because I don't have to watch my girlish figure. And besides, two of these are yours, dumbass.”
Ezra took it and grinned.
The pair made their way through the park and took a seat on a bench, near one of the older water fountains, strategically placed throughout the park. The park was actually surprisingly busy for a Sunday afternoon, but Edward and Ezra sat in amicable silence as they munched on their hot dogs.
“Aww, would you look at that.” Ezra cooed. Edward, second hot dog shoved halfway in his mouth, raised an eyebrow.
“Wook off hwaf?”
Ezra pointed at two old men across from them, who were also eating hot dogs, and stopping to give the birds some.
Edward swallowed and eyed Ezra. “What about them?”
“What do you mean 'what about them'?! They're fucking adorable!” Ezra gushed, making Edward eye him warily.
“Were you dropped on your head as a child, Ezra?”
Said blonde shrugged a shoulder. “Wouldn't surprise me. My mom was an insane bitch- Awww, look at that! Insanely adorable old guy number one is walking with insanely adorable old guy number two!”
Edward chuckled. The couple was walking, arm in arm by, laughing about something the taller of the two said. “You know Eddy, that's gonna be us in fifty years. I wanna grow old with yooooou!” Ezra sang, tugging Edward into a hug, causing multiple people to stare.
Edward sighed, final hot dog forgotten next to him, and snuggled into Ezra's side. He watched the people go by, playing with Ezra's hand he idly asked, “Why are you so obsessed with old people?”
Ezra laughed, kissing the top of the ravens head.
“What's not to like? They're all small, and wrinkled, which makes them adorable. And then, they tell you the greatest stories about when they were our age. Annnnd they give you candy.”
Edward hummed in response. He had a point. “Also, they show us that love can last a lifetime.” Edward smiled at that. “Oh? I don't see that.”
Ezra gasped. “What? That just won't do! You see those two over there?” he pointed to a couple that was skating hand in hand.
“Uh-huh.”
“Guarantee you they've been married for at least thirty or forty years, known each other for twelve before that.” Edward rolled his eyes. “You can't possibly know that.”
“Sure I can. I’m magical.”
“Are your old people senses tingling?”
Ezra chuckled mischievously, and cupped Edward's chin up, tilting the boys face towards him. “Something’s tingling...”
Edward laughed softly and met Ezra the rest of the way, in a gentle kiss.
Which was promptly interrupted by a shrill English voice. “You see? Why can't my boys be like you two?” they jumped and looked at the little old Asian lady who flailed her arms at them before shuffling off towards the subway.
“…hey, Eddy?”
“Yeah?”
“Did you just get the feeling that we've seen her somewhere before?” Edward looked at Ezra with a raised eyebrow.
“Your old people senses tingling or something?”
Ezra laughed and squeezed the younger.
“Don't make fun of the senses- they saved your cute behind that one day when that hobo started chasing you.”
“Please, don't remind me. I still see him and his pink tutu in my nightmares.”
