Yay concerts! That's a lot of bands! You got great pictures aswell, it's usually impossible to get good pictures when you're surrounded by tall people *shakes fist at tall people at concerts*
It'd be the last time for a while -- I can't spend too much money on awesome concerts. I tend to make more photos than I need, because I just know most of them will come out grainy or blurry... meaning they will suck xD
The guy who gave me the set list from the Swell Season, who I think is also the stage manager of the band, went backstage and got me a new copy. It was incredibly nice of him. :)
Yay for festivals! So much music, so much goodness. That's a heck of a lineup that you saw, *jealous*. I really want to see The Swell Season, I loved Once.
FR!!!!!! That first picture is great btw. Smiley smiley. I say the band moved more in the course of night in relation to your pictures, once those Frabbits get going it's hard to stop them. Looks like a good set there and I'm gonna watch your videos very soon. Yay for Andy talking to you and being nice.
Death Cab! They were good last Friday, didn't blow me away or anything though. Glad you enjoyed them. Sucks about the tall people and the kissy people. I was on the barrier at the gig I went to so no trouble there. Ahhh Jason and Nick that's their names. Which one is which? lol.
Oh yeah, if I had to recommend any band to see live (whether I saw them those nights or not), it's going to be the Swell Season. I'd only hoped they would play a little bit longer than they did.
Here's a bigger version/the original: http://i34.tinypic.com/9urhmx.jpg I realized that that was the first picture I took when they got on stage. I loved how the keyboard was labelled "Frabbit" too.
While I'm at it, I might as well post a couple more:
*makes note to keep an eye on Swell Season dates* Your videos of their set were really good.
That original is NIIIIIICE. Yes Frabbit, I shorten their name to that often now.
I like your photos, yay for getting Billy (he was miiiiiiiiiles away at the Death Cab gig as the stage was HUGE). Mmm Andy. lol.
Nick was awesome at the gig I went to as well. Especially on I Will Possess Your Heart (which I got a vid of). The sound was bad at the gig I went to. I thought it was the venue, which was quite crappy, but yeah the volume was too low for Death Cab who are quiet already.
Ah, thank you. You can really tell my hands/camera sort of doze off many times during the set of the Swell Season.
I prefer smaller stages over huge venues any day. I was happy to actually see them from so close -- one (big) step away from touching Scott haha.
I saw your videos before going so I could "prepare" myself for a night of awesomeness. Nick was actually cute and awesome looking too -- I did not expect that. :O
Fact: Andy Monaghan is the first (rather known) band member I've met/talked to after a gig. It suddenly hit me.
It sounds like an amazing experience. Like...I don't even know where to start. Seeing Ben, Death Cab, and the Swell Season all in one orgasmic post kind of made my heart stop beating.
Your heart should stop beating (not in a bad way, because I'd never wish ill upon someone >:D), but there were all kinds of awesome those nights. And ow yeah, I had a blast. I can't believe it all went by so quickly.
