PBR Finals Round 2 Conclusion

Nov 01, 2009 15:53

Well, it's kind of annoying that they couldn't just air this last night, but I get to watch it now!

Last 15 riders of round 2 are airing now. This should have some great rides. I've very carefully avoided Twitter so as to not hear what happened last night, so this'll all be a surprise.

And we're off! Brian Canter vs Chicken on a Chain. Aww, and he lost it way fast! Slipped off the side in 2 seconds. Not even gonna be worth good bull scores for Chicken. Which is a pity, since he's in the bull race.

LJ Jenkins vs White Magic. Wow, what a save!! Great recovery, and he gets the ride! 88, nice. Thought the bull was gonna fall over at one point, there.

Travis Briscoe vs Carrillo Cartel. Oh, man! Went off in 7.7, and Briscoe heads straight for the replay button. No joy on the replay, though. Bull score of 45.

Austin Meier vs Say When. Wow, c'mon!! Wow! He got it, even though the bull hit him against the chute near the end! 88.25. The chute basically knocked him back into position, where as most guys it would've yanked them off. Man, that's gotta hurt. Or not, since he's certainly giving no indication of it.

Shane Proctor and Dustin Elliott are still the only guys to ride both bulls. We'll see how long that stands.

Chris Shivers vs Major Payne. Who is lying down in the chute, I think. There, up he goes. Ow, man. Got him off in 1.6, damn. Yeah, he'll get one of the very last picks tomorrow (or, today). 45 bull score.

Sean Willingham vs Big Tex. Off in 1.8, ouch. 46 bull score. Code Blue's still leading the bull race, but that's a great score nevertheless.

Wiley Petersen vs Rowdy Hoodlum, damn. Made it 7 seconds. Third direction change got him off.

JB vs Troubadour! He's gotten 93.5 and 90.5 on this bull before. And Troubadour's quite rideable. He could pass Kody if he wins the round, which is entirely possible on this bull. *crosses fingers* C'mon, c'mon!!! NICE!!! Awesome ride!! Only needs an 86.5 for the event lead, but he needs a lot to pass Pete for the round. 91.25, lovely! Not enough to pass Pete, but he's second in the round and first in the event, plus that's a great score.

Renato Nunes vs Yellow Jacket Jr. And off fast in 1.9. He's 0 for 2 now, with fast buckoffs both times.

Robson Palermo vs Super Duty. And gets the ride, very nice. Although they've put it under review - he may have had his spur in the rope leaving the chute. Or they're looking for a slap, which is what I wondered. Evidence is inconclusive, so he will be scored. Very nice. 88.5.

Ryan McConnel vs Unabomber. C'mon!!! And he gets it!! Fifth (?) man to ride two, punctured lung and all! With a 91.25, beautiful!!

Valdiron vs Spit Fire, and Valdiron gets the ride. 90.25, very nice!

Holy crap, I missed that ride completely, cause it only lasted 1.1 seconds. Zack Brown went off Sure Fire on the first jump. That torn groin is clearly hurting him.

Marchi's up vs Charmed I'm Sure. McKee thinks this was a bad pick - Marchi's ridden this bull, but that was on off days and his scores weren't that great. And ... yup, bad pick. Off in 3.8, and he's now 0 for 2 and JB just passed him for 2nd.

Kody Lostroh vs Lone Star. If he bucks off, JB will take the top spot. Bull is trying to fling him off a little early. C'mon!!!!! Beautiful!!! Great ride! Gonna be a solid score, although not a 90. Yup, 88.25. So he holds onto first, while JB takes 2nd and remains 1st in the event. Awesome.

*grin* Yeah. Love this sport.
