Today at work was day one of being replaced. The new girl seems quiet, and I can't quite get a read on her. She'll probably hate the job

Noooope. I'm job hunting currently. Half-assedly. I really should hunt harder because once new girl is trained my job is on the line, but I'm also really tired. -_-
I think I know why they're not ACTUALLY telling you you're being replaced yet: they want to make sure you stay to train the new girl. If you know you're being fired for sure, you're not going to give two effs and you might even quit. Many years ago the company my mother worked for made the mistake of telling her she was being replaced and then they expected her to train her replacement. She was like "Hell no" and refused to train her.
Be a jerk. Most of the time it does pay to be a decent human being but if they think it's funny to make jokes about firing you when it seems very likely that that is what is going to happen, then what respect have they earned from you?
I'm training the new girl like a good corporate slave. I don't even know why I'm doing it. I just am. I don't have it in me to refuse. I think I'm a bit broken.
Well, I did joke too. LOL I have a meeting with the VP of the company tomorrow, and if I manage to get up early enough, I plan to dress up like Vriska, blue jeans and all. Because there is nothing like dressing up like a homestuck troll in a stuffy office environment. I'm sure it'll be epic and I'll blog all about it. :D
