in tears last night, i sat on my couch after a long, emotional day watching a man who has inspired the world, a man of mixed race (yay! a prominent political figure who represents us mixed race kids), a young figure with a beautiful family and beautiful message make history as he stood to become the next president elect

it's completely disheartening....and im sad that people actually voted for it...but i do truly believe, with all of my heart, that just as this country suffered with slavery, segregation, and separate but equal before, it will, in time, rise above and move forward, progressing toward human rights, liberties and equality for all. i really, really belive it. and something like this means that we have even more work to do helping
