dear Anatomy of a Ghost,
thanks for getting back together. it means alot to me personally. the second time i saw you play was at Hamilton St. Cafe in new jersey. i met sammy there that night. we watched bear vs. shark play and then fear before the march of (ya-ya) flames played. they were good then. davey wore a skeleton mask and brandon had the hottest drum kit i had ever laid eyes on. Kaminsky was even there too! anyway, you guys played and i perched myself one of the speakers in front of Joe to get a good view. it was awesome how kids were going nuts for you guys. my favorite part was when you closed with "distress in the control tower". that's my favorite song. i remember walking on the street of pittsburgh listening to that song while snow was falling; that song goes quite well with cold weather. kids were so into it that they got up on stage and sang with john and dewey. i got up there too. i stood there in front of zach and sung my heart and soul out. there was so many kids on stage that there wasn't enough room. everyone was sweaty and it was amazing. by the end of the song, i had had a musical revelation, like i just went to musical church. i really wanted to kiss zach at the end of the song just to thank him for that song existing, but i hugged him instead...and he hugged me back. i wonder if he knew why i was hugging him? i guess i'll never know. that show experience was my one of my top 3 of 2003. For as many shows as i went to that year, you should feel proud.
with love,
kinja rasheene patterson
p.s. - please release the album you were gonna put out before you broke up. don't think i forget about it cuz i didn't.
i could sleep right now. it's been a good day. bought new green polka dot slip ons and the new AP with Hawthorne Heights on the cover. too bad that band makes me vomit, but so does Matchbook Romance. it saddens me that Hawthorne Height is selling more records than Spitalfield. oh, and by the way, who told Matchbook Romance they could headline over Motion City Soundtrack?!? i mean honestly. Motion forever(and ever, amen!)
President Bush is speaking about social security at my COMMUNITY COLLEGE tommorrow. please...go to one of the smarty pants colleges in the city like U of Penn. they have more money there anyway.
plane rides are all the rage, especially ones to Austin, Texas. it's all i've been thinking about since november.
it's supposed to be Lucero Week beginning on friday. it's cancelled except for the philly show. bones are tight.
i almost bought a pasty cline cassette tonight. i should go back and get it.
i miss tammy jo and tupelo, ms.
