This is what I tried.

On the advert of the bottle, it states "A delicate blend of fourteen herbs including Grande Wormwood Star Anise, Eucalyptus, Sage and Fennel...."

As for the thujone content, I cannot say.

As for effects, hey, what the hell, who cares, it's 100 proof.

Top's Liquor also sells Lucid.

I'm not getting your point.

A lot of alcohols are 100 proof. Add food coloring and some key herbs and it's absinthe?

no, but after drinking it, I really didn't care that there wasn't enough thujone in it to make a difference.

after going through a few sites i came across one that sounds oh so inviting...

the wormwood society page ended up having a review for it as well http://www.wormwoodsociety.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=58&Itemid=1

I tried that stuff and was very disappointed. The color is very very light and the taste is very eucalyptusy-mentholy. Kind of like Scope with extra layers of herbal flavor. I'd say it was not the best choice.
