Oscar noms are out, and so begins my annual "huh?" As I scan down the list of nominees, I ... see one I recognize! A movie I have seen dozens (maybe hundreds) of times, in fact: WALL-EBut ... nominated for "Best Original Screenplay." Huh? The whole movie had maybe 20 lines. Tops. I've heard that In Bruges is amusing, especially if you have a knack for interpreting thick Cockney. (That was an entirely G-rated comment, you'll note.)

I loved Slumdog Millionaire but I haven't seen enough of the rest to make a valuable comment! And, shame on me, I didn't see WALL-E/ Must get it on DVD.
