On the value of copy editing

Have those moments too .. far to many for my linking but still. It helps us to get through those times when there is self-doubt and loathing not to be able to write the great (American/Gernman) novel of the 21st century ourselves ... sigh.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Do not, under any circumstances, fall from the ranks of those who know the difference between a Comma Splice and a Cherry Slice! We are a dying breed! Pomposity (sp?) is a necessary evil.

What's that - Viv has doubts about the importance of proper commas? Impossible! ;-)

As someone who regularly commits many of the grammatical crimes in your book, I must hurry to tell you that, yes, your work is important - very important!

You're sort of a language police, keeping the worst offenders at bay and preventing the rest of us from being led (too far) astray. *g*
