I went to a exposition on Gandhi, King, and Ikeda on Wednesday. Yeah, I know, Jon? You go to expositions????? you would be correct in thinking so because I went because I was doing research. I'm writing a paper on the rhetoric of silence; basically how power silence can be. Lets say I was very surprised when I got to the place. I knew there was ( Read more... )

College does change people, though I'm not sure dancing to N'Sync again shows that I have changed, haha. I'm not sure how much I changed, but I do know that I value things differently now too.

Haha, it was fun. It fact, we were so "popular" that there have been requests for us to perform again, though I'm not sure if we are actually going to.

You're right. There are no levels of sin. If you do something wrong, it's wrong! I think we often want to justify our sins by claiming one wrongdoing is "better" than another, but we forget that in God's eyes, it's all equal. We're all equal. It doesn't matter where we are with God, He loves us all the same. That's the beautiful aspect of His love. :)

Homosexuality, smoking weed, getting piss drunk (ok well that's not really a sin, just something i view as bad) are all equivalent to the minor things like lying, making fun of someone, ignoring someone because I find them extremely annoying. It's all the same, all equal.

yup. in the eyes of God, all sins are equal.

that and i def. had to think about the homosexuality/christian issue since coming to college as well..

Ephesians 5
...Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...
