Facing death is an odd thing; it's such a surreal experience. This past tuesday, the grandma that had been taking care of me since I was born passed away. awww jon, i'm so sorry to hear that... your family is in my prayers. it's always really comforting to know that your family members are of the same faith, though. :) it means no matter what, you will see them again!

it's kind of weird how people just have to pick up with their lives and move on, no? sort of like pretend nothing's happened but at the same time it's at the back of everyone's minds.

but yeah, i agree with chris.

i guess the unknown is... just the unknown, and we'll never know until we're there. (that sounds so cliche... but you know.) i suppose all we have is the reality of now and hope for tomorrow.

im so sorry jon. funerals are the worst. im glad your grandma left peacefully though. and that you were able to be there with her. things get easier, i promise.
