Today has been a hard one = a friend has fallen and broken her hip. She is far enough away that I can't do anything but think good things to her, and be there for her circle as we all stress together

my grandma broke her hip falling down the stairs, and my grandpa broke both his hips in the span of two weeks. They both walked again, and I'm sure your friend will pull through as well, especially with a circle of friends to care for her. I am sorry to hear what happened to your father. From my experiences i know that a full recovery is completely possible, and my mom says it's very likely that a broken hip patient will do just fine.

Thank you - I really needed reminders like yours, especially when the hospital kept rescheduling. Phyl is through her surgery and doing well, altho the doc has her out of it right now. Probably to keep her from trying to move too much :o)
