What's common to the two is both voice actresses were actually not only Texan, but not American. Lenore Zann (Rogue) is Australian, and Ashleigh Ball (Applejack) is Canadian.

That's interesting... perhaps there's just something about citizens of the British Commonwealth faking Southern Belle accents that generates self-similar results.

Aaaah, okay. When I'd posted this we'd only seen the first two episodes, so I'm not quite up to speed on my Pinkie-Pie catch phrases. All I've managed to absorb so far is that she's very... pink.
