Yesterday I had the defense of my PhD thesis. After a long 2 hour and 45 minute grilling I was told to wait outside while they discussed my interrogation.

After a very long 10 minute wait I was summoned back in and I was told I had passed.

This morning it has began to sink in that after all my years of work I am finally Dr. Pete
