Crawling out from under a rock!

I realize it's been ages since I updated so I figured now was as good a time as any.

Softball - while Tuesday night league was a bit of a struggle, my Thursday night team took 2nd place! We got a trophy and everything! Go Mud Dawgs!! I have a three week break until fall league starts and we've got everyone from summer league playing. At least the brewski intake will get a three week reprieve.

Birthday week - I started off with a trip to Las Vegas for a sorority sister's wedding. Two other sisters came for the festivities. It was a GREAT time. It doesn't matter how much time passes, but when we get together, it's like no time has passed at all - even with the kids, weddings, divorces, jobs, school, etc. So after a week full of good meals from my friends, I spent the next weekend doing a quick roadtrip through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming with ridicu_liz. She's been on this year's splint boot and crutch duty, as I had it this time last year.

Anyhoo - the road trip hit Idaho Falls, ID (to sleep for the night), Great Falls, MT (great Lewis and Clark history, but the falls - not so great. But Giant Springs - it's crystal clear and it spews out about 156 million gallons a day plus the 58 foot Roe river that carries the springs water into the Missouri river are pretty cool), Bozeman, MT (to sleep for the night), then the driving tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and then back home.

Car - stupid car!! The belt that runs my power steering and AC kept chirping, jumping off the pulleys and blowing the bearing in the tensioner pulley. My mechanical guy friend figured out that the bracket that hold the power steering pump is cracked, after the first week of beltless driving. So, of course, it's a dealer-only part and it took a week to get in for another week of beltless driving. Beltless driving means no AC or power steering - and I got do this during the massive heat wave that hit us. So no AC in the car during 100 plus degree weather. Yes, I know I'm whining, but OMG hot car driving is HORRIBLE!!

It's been great reading of all your going's on! I hope you all are having a great summer!

lola, liz
