Jeeze this chapter had a lot of tension. Really gut-wrenching action in the first half. Lots of terror for both our guys. The last half was so very full of angst. Poor Danny! Poor Jack!

As much as I love the whumping, it really was a little harsh. I'm not sure how my brain comes up with this stuff, but until they were safe at home I was shaking like a leaf - as much in fear for their sakes as for my sanity.

So thanks again for letting me know the OUCH still made for a good story. I really appreciate it.

I really enjoy this plot line. Very well done and Sara's reaction was right on. I so love you protective Jack. This last bit with the AF wanting to breed their empaths to Danny is very thought provoking. Who will he chose, or will he chose anyone other than Sam? I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Great follow-up!

I felt so bad for Daniel while the guy was being tortured in front of him. But I almost feel worse for him because he knows now that he can't be stopped. The minute the AF isn't certain Jack can successfully manage him, if he doesn't do what they want, they will have to destroy him. That's a lot for a kid to have to live with.

And the forced breeding scenario makes so much sense - it's terrifying!

What a fantastic 'verse you've created - thank you so much!

Yes, Danny basically can't be stopped - feel sorry for him... And for ME! I've painted myself into a corner! LOL

Fortunately the AF can be certain Danny will always do whatever is best for Jack. Unfortunately this means poor Jack gets to be jerked around so Daniel obeys. The real question is: can the AF manage Jack? :-P

I'm glad you like the 'verse. :-)

I have been reading sg1 fic, j/d specifically, for over 5 years and this is one of the most unique stories ever! I enjoy your take on both characters in AU...true to their spirit and you just keep the suspense and intrigue going in every paragraph! That must be exhausting. I am so looking forward to the next chapter! Thanks for sharing your talents with the world :)fangirl

I'm so glad they come across as in-character, that's really the most important thing for me.

The suspense and intrigue really do take a lot of emotion out of me, but thankfully I can let it out if I just write it down. :D win/win!

I hope to have the next chapter done before the end of the summer. I have two other story lines going. o.O
