I really liked it when I've been there [duh]. Although do avoid the Yamanote line during rush hour - sardine does not even begin to describe it... It was actually a little scary being that cramped.
If you're going to pick up some Japanese, the Pimsleur audio course is really good. You still at the 5000 Watkins address? Look for a present in the mail sometime soon-ish. Oh... It's also helpful to learn the actual syllables. At least glancing at hiragana and katakana can help with that even if you don't memorize them.
