This is a six-minute "walk" across the ISS. I cannot believe how much space they have up there! (pardon the expression, them being in "space" and all :D )
Contrariwise, I'm intimately familiar with how much space they have, but am amazed at how much stuff they've crammed in it! It's positively claustrophobic in spots!
This gives one impression, while the 3-D IMAX movie they were running at Kennedy a year or so ago gives a very different impression. Yes - they have a very long run, and if you look at it, the total volume is starting to add up - but they don't have any single large volumes, where more than one axis is bigger than 3 or 4 meters. Part of this was the initial idea to only send up completed modules that would fit in the shuttle bay - they never send up say 8 segments stacked up that could then be fitted together on a space-walk, to create a larger room - which would be a good place to practice construction techniques and learning not to drop tools to get lost in space

The whole Aries thing is still going back and forth and being fought out. I've actually been hoping that they get an Aries V going and someone decides to make a station module out of the uppermost tank - Skylab style. Though smaller overall due to how many modules are on the station Skylab had a HUGE single chamber due to the fact it was basically a Saturn V tank. Sure it's a pipe-dream, but it's at least possible.
