ROFL

if you take a look at http://yurisnight.net/partylist/, the most events are in the States.

Even if I can't sponsor intergalactic travel, you'll be able to attend a revelry of cosmic proportions, proximate to your coordinates ;)

Are you putting together something on your blog, then? What about (you're probably too young to think of this) Where were you, when ...? I remember well the excitement surrounding the flight of Yuri Gagarin, including the dismay that it was a Russian first. I remember thinking who cares? A MAN went up there! I had watched the circling of Sputnik and Echo, in turn, from the lawn of the library, seeing the tiny light going across the sky so fast. And then, a human being! I was 13.

hopefully, I'll be putting together something in reality, the blog is to keep the public appraised of the progress, my little bull pulpit, heheh.

I certainly am too young for that, but I spent my first 6 years in Karaganda, the last large city on the way to Baikonur. I remember the b/w broadcasts on TV, or in the local news - the cosmonauts were a very wonderful, yet very close and tangible presence.

p.s. i am the 1970 issue.
