“New Who” debuts in the US…

…and I still haven’t finished watching the copies of the episodes I’ve had since early last year.

I know it’s illogical, but I don’t like the idea of people forming their first impressions of what Doctor Who is, based on the new series. I know that New Who is the only plausible conduit via which people can discover Doctor Who in today’s television

It's true, the new series is a vastly different beast from the original. But two things about the U.S. broadcast are highly encouraging to me:

1. Last night, I was flipping through channels and discovered a repeat of Rose. How frelling cool is it to flip through channels at odd hours and find Doctor Who on?!? :D
