Fanime 2011
This year's Fanime wasn't as fantastic as last year (it's difficult to beat being in a skit like last year!) but it was fun!
I got to use my new camera for these photos, so they're not very hi-def (I'll keep playing with the settings so that future photos will be more like my previous ones)
Friday
My plan on Friday was to dress in my cosplay for Jacuzzi from Baccano at school, and work on my hair and tattoo at the con.
(what was kinda funny was when I was running to the yearbook line at school, some guys who were passing by said, "Wait is that a guy?" xDDD )
The shoes I was wearing HURT, especially when walking to my classes, so as soon as I got home, I put bandaids where my blisters started to form, and my feet were fine the rest of the day.
I got to stay with my friend Allison during the con, and occasionally another of my friends Alex would visit.
Allison got to cosplay Miku the entire time (with different outfits, they were amazing! *3* )
Alex helped me with my tattoo and my hair (my hair is so stubborn! It wouldn't spike up properly, so we had to improvise, since it was my first time having my hair gelled)
She was originally going to be my Nice, but she wasn't able to finish her cosplay on time (maybe next year?? ;u; )
(There were several Flynn Riders there! o3o )
We didn't do a whole lot on Friday besides looking around at stuff we thought about buying.
We did keep to the rule of "don't buy anything until you have looked at everything else"
I also got to see my friend Maria again! 8D (I'm so sorry I didn't wish you a happy early birthday! ;3; But I hope you have a great one! ;w; )
I also saw Teca (America) who was selling giant Hetalia (and custom) mochis *u* (I saw her last year when I was Sealand, but I didn't know it was her xDDD I think she remembered me xD; )
After looking around, we went back to our hotel for a little break.
While we were heading back, one of the people who passed by us quietly squeed, "Jacuzziiiii~" (the first person who recognized me, after being at the con for a couple of hours (You guys! If you love action shows, watch Baccano! It's awesome!! ;3; ))
After our break, we headed to the video game part of the building where more people were selling stuff.
She was really nice! (she and her friend also recognized my cosplay! ;u;/ Yay recognition!)
We got to chat a bit about how cool Baccano is before heading off to look at all of the video games they had.
We didn't play, we just looked xD
He was so cuuute~ (he crawled like a ninja a bit for some photos but I missed it xD )
And that was really it for Friday.
I wanted a closer/hi-def photo of my cosplay before getting ready for bed (Allison was at the rave and her mother was out too, so I was alone for a while)
Saturday
Since there was a steampunk meeting today I decided to dress up as steampunk Italy! 8D
While heading over to the meet, I saw some Spirited Away cosplayers (so cuuute!! I also saw another No Face yesterday xDD )
I was honestly worried the weather was going to be hot like last year, and I would suffer in my outfit (I'm a weak Brit xDD ) but the weather was fairly nice (at least 20 Celcius compared to 30 last year! ô3ô )
This was a very fun cosplay! xD
The goggles were actually very difficult to move from my hat without moving the wig.
It took me a while to get into this photo and then put them back on my hat xD;
Group photo! (had to back up a bit to give Alex a little room with her wings (and so I wouldn't get hit a bit)
I'm LOVING the steampunk Snow White and (I'm guessing) Ariel(?)!

We then got to go to Alex's hotel so she could change into her Medusa cosplay for a Soul Eater meet.
While we were out we saw this!
It even sat down and walked like a dog would! xDDD
I got to visit Igiko's table on Sunday.
So after taking a quick break we headed out again.

I also got to buy a mochi! *3*

I REALLY want to re-watch this show if I'm going to see the sequal series (steampunk Avatar!! Can't wait!! 8D )
I also promised to my friend who wasn't able to make it to the con that I would glomp a Zuko for her if I found one. I didn't find one ;3;
Sunday
I planned on going to the Hetalia meet today, but we woke up at 10 and the meet was in 30 minutes.
By the time I was dressed in my puppy Italy cosplay, I looked out the window and there were tons of cosplayers for the meet, I got nervous and thought about not going (I'm such a scaredy cat Dx ) and I also wanted to wait for Allison to get into her Secret Black Vow Miku outfit! *O*
I went anyway, but just a few minutes after I arrived, the meet was finished and had to get prepared for a Bleach meet.
We got to hang out a bit with our roommates from across the hall (they were dressed up for Touhou, another was dressed as Gir who I got to hang out with for part of the Hetalia meet while Allison checked out some stuff inside)
Oh well, maybe next year? xD;
I did get to see some of my school friends here (one of them was Canada, she was so cute!!) I also got to see Cuba again, and Joelle who was Seychelles!
I haven't seen her since Fanime last year, we had a great chat about life, Japan, Hetalia, kicking rude people, Wales the whale (her fish with Iggy-brows xD ), and food *w*
xDDDDD This guy was flailing on the ground toward the fountain, it was hilarious
Allison and I decided to meet up and go back to our hotel again (we didn't have a whole lot to do there), and I decided to change a bit into my Sealand outfit.
When we got back on the elevator, this one guy in a box came in and it was quiet for a few seconds until...

These guys were great xD The Scooby Doo cosplayer even had the voice! It was so adorable! xDD
We decided to look one last time in the artist alley and dealers hall for any last minute things to buy before leaving Monday morning.
Before we entered I got attack-glomped by some fangirls X_x (I hope my arm heals after that)
When we entered the artist alley, Allison and I were stopped a lot for photos (this also happened before and after, mostly with Allison, but her outfit was beautiful! *w* )
I tried looking for Maria to wish her a happy birthday (since I forgot to the last few days, I'm REALLY sorry!!) but wasn't able to find her ;A; So I looked on the other side of the artist alley since I haven't really looked there at all, and visited hakuku's table along with Igiko. Hakuku left just as I arrived, so I had a chat with Igiko, and at one point when I told her my deviantart, she says "OMG I think I know you!"
Even though it was my first time being known by dA, I think I understand now what it's like to be famous xD;
I also got to get a photo of Rin and Len for her before leaving.
The day for me ended then.
When Allison got back from the Black and White Ball and the rave, it was the middle of the night, and after we were all sound asleep, a fire alarm goes off.
It was so loud and so scary, I had trouble going back to sleep ;A;
And then the con was over. I didn't do a whole lot on Monday besides dress up as Chibitalia because Allison had to get home early (around 9:00 in the morning) so we had to pack on Sunday and leave ASAP Monday morning.
Before we left, someone who was passing by in the hall of the hotel saw me and asked me for a hug xD
That was really all that happened.
I miss it already ;3;
I'm hoping to cosplay Len next year and sell stuff!
In the meantime, hope to see you guys again then! (and hopefully in cons and meets before then! ;A;/ )
