wow. he actually said it. former nba player tim hardaway, that greasy-faced twerp of a bigot, said those words and more on a radio show yesterday.

then today, although he apologized, he also said that if he had a gay family member he would not speak to them ( Read more... )

i agree with what amaechi said...to para-phase...i have absolutely no interest in simply being tolerated.

while i understand your reference to ancient culture, i don't think it applies. this world and the creatures on it are playing an entirely different game than aristotle and his boys. it's a bit like saying the bible is still relevant. the criminalization of homosexuality has always been present anyway.

but you are spot-on in your summation.

he is certainly not alone. i guess i am just naive.

your mom is probably on to something. but that can't excuse his thinking/speaking. hate is still hate.

i'm not sure this issue is about being real and honest though. sure, he is entitled to his thoughts, however sick, demented, and ignorant they may be. and so am i.
