yeah, if you like, feel free to go through my half.com inventory (they're in paper bags...somewhere) and pull out whatever you think would be appropriate for deirdre's sale. sorry to say, i'm sort of fuzzy on books in that age bracket i want to chuck that aren't in the half.com pile...though i was thinking of ditching Eragon and Eldest...

ok will do. it's not a sale, it's just part of her gold award project that she's donating books to a children's hospital and then coming with people to read to the kids. community service hours for the first marking period? oh yes, hello.

poor qui gon, he just had shit for luck! his first apprentice became a homicidal sith, obi wan was alright (though very rocky, esp at the beginning), and then the third one got him murdered. and he was a horrid little brat to boot.

despite Jedi apprentice being what it was, the first couple volumes (especially 1 & 2) really got me on an emotional level, what with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan both being so emotionally damaged. which, you know, in retrospect didn't augur well for their mutual padawan turning out well, either.

and i'd like to say that Qui-Gon died ignorant/happy, but thanks to the Whills he stuck around in the Force and got to see it all play out. :-(
