Rules of the meme:

1. Anonymously(or not, because we seem to have stopped following this rule) post a pairing and prompt you would like to see written. Since this is a kink meme, there is supposted to be a kink involved, but normal well-written prompts should work just as well.

2. Anonymous will respond to your post and write it for you! Art and such ( Read more... )

Write me the consequences of Bill surviving being shot in the head. You don't walk away from something like that, but stranger things have happened than surviving with a bullet permenantly lodged in the brain. Sometimes the person's personality changes, sometimes they have brain damage or stop feeling certain physical sensations. Naturally that close a brush with death would make one re-examine one's life.

How does a surviving Bill change, how does it affect the Minutemen? Bill/Byron would be awesome.

Holy shit this prompt makes me so sad because I've heard of just the sweetest people turning into just these angry beings--the thought of that happening to my fluff otp is just so maddening

Bill is so goddam sweet and kind and oh god what would it do to Byron if he suddenly became a total dick

oh holy crap this needs to happen

They're also sometimes bizarrely fine, which would have its own emotional effect.

Or anon could Oracle him. How does Bill Brady continue to make the world a better place from a wheelchair?

Or combine both, so he's a prick in a wheelchair but still a hero... Hn.

“He will wake up,” Byron said for the second time that hour. If possible, his voice sounded even thinner than the first time. Hollis laid a hand on Byron’s shoulder and glanced out of the window at the cold early-morning light ( ... )

Byron eventually found out, no, was told that Bill’s parents had taken Bill home, back to Kansas. It was hard to accept for Byron that he had to be told that; that he wouldn’t have known unless the news had been passed on through several people before it reached him ( ... )

Byron was just in the process of wishing it back when Bill leant in to kiss Byron’s chin, moving further up with kisses until he’d reached Byron’s ear. Bill nibbled on the lobe and Byron made a sound that was embarrassingly close to a whine ( ... )

To Byron’s surprise and immense relief, he was lucky to find Bill in his office at head quarters about an hour and a half later. Byron approached the half-open door carefully and when a floor board creaked beneath his foot, Bill looked up and smiled at him. Byron returned Bills smile and stepped inside the room, closing the door behind him ( ... )

Thanks for the comments, guys. And I don't doubt that you'll need all the blankets and tissues by the end of this fic. Some chocolate and some fluff probably wouldn't go amiss either ( ... )

Neither of them talked much on the way back to headquarters and Byron was glad for it. He needed a drink: Hell did he need a drink. Byron showered and got changed quickly and made his way to his office, the click of the door closing behind him echoing ominously in his head. The realisation that solitude was always so much more silent when he was sober hit often, but apparently it still surprised him ( ... )

Instead, Byron leant forward and began kissing Bill’s chest, diverting his concentration to the feeling of Bill’s warm skin against his lips. Byron could feel Bill’s breathing quicken and took this as a good sign and a prompt to go on. His lips closing over one of Bill’s nipples, Byron tentatively flicked his tongue against the bud and he was happy to hear the sharp intake of breath that prompted from Bill. Spurred on by this reaction, Byron repeated the motion and elicited some absolutely delicious moans from Bill. Byron took his time, bestowing the same on Bill’s other nipple and when he finally looked up at Bill, Bill was gazing at Byron with fire in his eyes. Byron gave Bill a cheeky grin and it only widened when he saw the bulge in the front of Bill’s trousers ( ... )

But the sound that finally did escape Bill was not one of pleasure, but a small, exasperated grunt.

“Byron, stop,” Bill said and Byron’s hand stilled immediately. He pulled out gently and took a step back to give Bill some space and so that he could turn.

“Did… I hurt you,” Byron asked, his voice uncertain and meek. He’d been afraid this might happen; Bill hadn’t done this in months. They hadn’t done this in months.

“No, no,” Bill replied shaking his head and he reached out and laid his hand on Byron’s shoulder, in a comforting gesture.

“It just… It’s not working, Byron,” Bill said and it was clear that he wasn’t quite comfortable explaining this. “It’s just… It feels wrong. No, no, not wrong,” Bill immediately corrected himself, “just, not right. You know, different ( ... )

Gah - my first impulse is to say "Oh, poor Byron!" but really, it's "Poor Bill!" ;__; (Even if he is rather frightening...)

Heh. Well, I guess we can go with "poor boys". Because yeah. They're both suffering. *squishes*

They should have known that Bill’s outburst wouldn’t pass without any consequences, no matter how much effort Nelly and Schexnayder put into covering it up. It didn’t happen the very next morning, but the one after that. The moment Bill and Byron had cleared headquarters with Nelson in tow, the moment they showed their faces out in public, the reporters came swarming in. Though he knew better, of course, Byron sometimes wondered whether they lived in small nests underground, lying in wait to ambush their unsuspecting prey ( ... )
