ok Hung was hands down the BEST chef all season - consistency, skills, PASSION!

in addition to his mad skils... for me this goes beyond just ethnic pride for me.  Hung Huynh is from Pittsfield, Mass.  I grew up in Ludlow, Mass. (exit 7 on the Mass Pike).  Pittsfield is exit 2 on the Pike.

I'm glad Hung won! It's been really frustrating, 1) the racism regarding his 'soul' and 2) the fact that no one is giving him props for breaking the color line.

I read an interview with Hung saying he thought it would be him, Tre, and Lia in the finals.

first of all, your comparison of exit 2 and exit 7 probably makes no sense to most people, but from someone who lives on exit 20, let me say that to anyone east of 14, they consider everything west of 9 to be ONE BIG EXIT (unless you went to UMass Amherst, in which case you know a little something about exit 8). there is virtually no difference between 2 and 7, which you and i know, but probably nobody else does.

secondly, western mass is especially racist toward asians. i know this through my college years experience and knowing folks around who lived/live there. my friend's brother's friend was beaten up with baseball bats waiting for the fucking school bus cuz he is vietnamese what the fuck. this is a little kid goddamn.

third, i know you can't trust the editing on these shows, but S noticed they show the other cheftestants reactions to hung when he speaks, but don't do that for casey and dale (and brian).

totally disjointed.
