I know. The Irish were the trash in that day. I don't know all that much about it, but they may have been trash, you know? Just like some of the folks we view as trash these days. However, I have never seen an Irishman turn up loud ass Gaelic music after work and bother the neighborhood.
HAHA! I'm not so sure about that. I think they were pretty much bottom of the barrel back then. Peasants. Tenant farmers. Shit like that. Then they organized, pretty much like every other group that has come to the US.
I'm thinking that the Irish were a rowdy fucking lot. Look at us now, for God's sake! ;-)
