Is it bitchy of me to be disappointed at the fact that no one (mutual close friends, family, bridal party) apparently is going to throw us an engagement party or a bridal shower? I would never dare ask, then again, I didn't think I had to.
I think thats horribly shitty and my feelings would be hurt too.
Do you think maybe your friends and wedding party just may think that someone else is handling it, you know what I mean, one friend things another is doing it that friend thinks someone else. Traditionally your maid of honor handles your shower that is her responsibility, maybe she doesn't realize it?
I don't have a bridal party per se. Just a MOH. She is also super, super busy. I don't think it has occured to her.... I don't know. But you know me, I suck at asking for things.

Sweetie, I OFFERED to throw you a bridal shower and you refused because you said I would be too busy planning my own wedding and I nixed it from there.
But I did offer and my offer still stands if you wanted one...I am a good friend. I offered before you mentioned it!
