Just one comment so far, but it's perfection. I'm very pleased that the warped plot worked for you. The pdf is coming soon. Thank you so so much for reading and commenting!
Wow. This is my first read through of the whole thing in order at one time, and just wow. It was some ride following the small clues and turns in the plot. Much more sophisticated than a lot of fanfic.
Thank you for all your kind comments on the story! I'm very glad that you read it as a whole now and it didn't disappoint. It's important to me that apparently this puzzle is fun to come back to, even once it's solved.
Fabulous! I love how the mystery of Sam unfolds; the very idea is just brilliant. It was fun to go through the story once again and follow all the little crumbs you throw on the way. Some things I noticed - and was able to fully appreciate - only during the second reading. You create this amazing tension, immerse your reader in this unsettling atmosphere of not-rightness (yep, definitely a word) and it's real fascinating to see and realize how it all builds up, like carefully carved blocks, into the one well-thought whole.
I love the balance of angst and humor you executed throughout the whole fic. Your OFs were wonderful. I've just realized that I would like to know more about Candy and her mum *looks around innocently* What? 'm just sayin.
And that ending? Man, what an ending! Felt like a massive punch in the guts. You're one cruel lady, you know that, right? Poor Dean! And don't forget about my poor heart!
You make the cruel lady gloat. What does that say about you?
I was aiming to give the story rereading value, so I'm very pleased to hear that worked and even you, who had been involved in the creating process through and through, can still find something fresh and meaningful in it. I'm also glad that it's not only the convoluted plot you enjoyed but the atmosphere and the characters made an impression as well. To me, these were the most important.
I've just realized that I would like to know more about Candy and her mum *looks around innocently* What? 'm just sayin. That's very brave of you to speak up like that, judith... also, thank you.
It's a huge relief that you think the ending wasn't a failure. It was written in a hurry and I'm painfully aware of its shortcomings. It's good to hear it worked after all.
Thank you, thank you for this wonderful, detailed comment!
I believe that you'd created a masterpiece. Not many fanfiction have this level of depth, thorough thinking and engrossing plot. I love how your story is so subtle yet shocking.
And the ending, oh the ending. Poor me. It's is so painful but good. I feel masochistic right now, thank you very much for it.
I love that throughout the lecture you leave little clues that only after second reading, as Judith'd said, make you fully appreciate how well-thought it is.
Stranger in Love is exquisite story. I enjoyed reading it immensely and I thank you for that. Keep up the good work, you deserve our prise.
WOW! you just blew my mind alittle, no alot. I feel as tho I need to create a BB memory tag to pop this into for a reread....cause, my brain is just reeling and I know that this will be something to submerse myself in at a later date.
Oh, reeling brains is precisely what I was striving for! I'm so thankful for your commenting and letting me know my careful evil plotting didn't go amiss. I hope you get back to this story some time and will enjoy it entirely anew. Thank you!
