I ♥ Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!!!

....And career changes are very common these days, US Dep. of Labor says people change careers 3-5 times in their lifetime, so it's perfectly conceivable that you could be a neuroscientist who then becomes a concert pianist (or something like that) at different time in your life. :)

Well, besides escapism therapy, I don't see pure entertainment as a valuable purpose, so finding another one (which in my opinion does have value) was pretty exciting.

Ah, but that's the point of the Day of Silence; when someone as verbose as me is not speaking for 24 hours, people notice, and they ask me why, and I show them a note of explanation. It does increase awareness. My school is pretty quiet -- there aren't groups of students outwardly protesting things, and in that way, it's not like a real college campus -- so to be loud about anything would frighten people away from considering my message. I have to be subtle in this kind of environment.... Plus, being in a state with lots of closed-minded religious conservatives necessitates that I be kind and subtle; I can't convince them anything unless I'm calm about it.
