And you wonder why my dad was planning early retirement (in the UK) back in 1970, not long before he died.

And why, although I won't question him directly, I worry about my son's decision to become a teacher. (SRSLY -- I can't see him foisting some of this BS on his students!)

Scenario 7, but with whole firecrackers, model ships and the neighborhood creek. Scenario 7.5: under the porch, flat rock, little green army men, rope and gasoline.

Good times, good times.

4 words.
Bottle Rocket Pipe guns.

From the garage window to the backyard garden...mom says she's glad she didn't know.

Yesterday a 4 yr old drew a picture of a gun in class. Joshua tattled. Sigh. The whole class underwent some big, huge anti gun indoctrination. Thank god he's in private school though or the boy would have been thrown out of class as per several cases of young kids suspended for drawing, gesturing, or saying "gun" highlighted in the news just in the past few months.

Huh? I was just praising Henry the other day for drawing triggers on his guns. So realistic!

We're going to be in trouble...

The "zero tolerance" policies many public schools have adopted leaves no room for common sense.

Oh, cripes. Well, maybe since we're in a big military area it'll help. One more question to add to the kindergarten list...

2" Pipe cannons with a handful of shotgun powder, piece of T-shirt, and a handful of gravel.

Mustard Gas (failed, thankfully)

Molotov Baby-food jars.

Could never get the bottle rockets to reliability launch from the gas-powered airplane.
