Welcome to December.
This year has been…crazy. Where has it gone? It was just July. I’m still adjusting. How can 2007 possibly be ending?
Yes yes, I did one of these last year. But with the lack of posting since my move, I figured there couldn’t be any better way to pick it back up.
2007 started rocky for me. I had a rough time with my parents…possibly one of the worst times we’ve had. But we resolved it, and I’m sure I hurt someone along the way, but it’s in the past and I hope they’ve forgiven me for it.
Thankfully the semester started at the perfect time, and I had a wonderful time. I met some amazing people, one of which being my dear Panda Bear!
I took Psychology, which was fascinating, Yoga, which helped me more than I thought it could, and an icky science class, which led to some amazing Tuesday and Thursday nights!!
Throughout the semester I became very close to some amazing people. I had a really awful night with a couple people I thought I could trust, and immediately I had the support of Amanda and Josh, I couldn’t have asked for a better couple of friends to make my night turn right around.
Spring Break I went to New York City, where I spent entirely too much money on clothes I hardly EVER wear, but I had a blast!
Of course, there was the Fall Out Boy concert! An amazing (and soaking) night! Amanda and I found the tour buses
And got completely drenched waiting for the gates to open
But the night ended up being a wonderful memory to keep with me forever
After my freshman year of college (OH MY GOD!) was over, I had to cram in a ton of summer into only one month.
Super fun birthday nonsensicalness…
…Silly family vacations…
…yep, my summer was pretty awesome.
All that happened in the first six months of this year was enough to fill up a YEAR!
But, sadly, it wasn’t. I had crammed a year with my friends into half that because I had to leave.
It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, saying goodbye.
I’d lived in Columbia (or the surrounding area’s) for almost 7 years. And I’d met the best people in the world. And I had to leave. I can’t tell you how strong I tried to be around my friends, and how incredibly weak I was when I was alone.
But, like all things, the move came. I’m just grateful I had Kiri, otherwise I don’t think I would have made it at all.
She humored me in every way possible. I would beg her to take a goofy picture with me and she knew I needed the laugh, so she’d do it. She went on countless walks around town just so I could forget for an hour that I was living in a hotel.
I’m grateful for her every day.
That first month was spent entirely living out of suitcases in the hotel. Let me tell you, it was not enjoyable.
Then, thankfully, we moved into the house!
Let me tell you…I had my work cut out for me…
But I finally got all settled in…and trust me it looks great…a lot better than that! Haha.
As is necessary, I found some friends…and some good friends. A few just to chill with when I’m bored…
And some to help me be completely happy…
(I don't actually know the guys...the girls are Christie and Liz)
I traveled to London…
...and Amsterdam…
…and Bruges…
I’ve seen more than I ever expected to, and it’s only the beginning of my travels.
And, (and I hate to do it this way, I wish I could tell you all in person) I’ve met a guy. He’s definitely…different. His name is Jared, and I cannot convey to you how happy he makes me.
(For the record, he’s American…he’s from Texas…so no, there’s no accent haha)
He’s hysterical, I can’t stop laughing and smiling when I’m around him
I don’t want to jinx it at all, but I really think there’s something there.
And this puts us back to here. December.
And there you have it. That's my year (so far). December should be one heck of a month too...so...thank goodness I'm back, eh? haha
