That's fine and good, and I suppose that some people actually ARE asexual.
But I still think that most people who "seem" asexual are actually homosexuals who are covering up their true desires and are wise enough not to "overcompensate" by pretending to be straight.
Numerous people I have known and that I have considered to be "asexual" came out of the closet sooner or later.
interesting but definately not comparable to hetero or homo as a sexual orientation.
maybe... it's not so much like: boxers, briefs or commando - you choose, but rather: boxers or briefs? no thanks, i don't like underwear.
i haven't thought about it enough to know why, but it's important to me that the homo/hetero dichotomy remains, and that the asexuals are a no-op. when forced to choose, they must prefer the same or opposite. but not choosing, they are not opting out of a preference once they have to choose, and because of that, it's not really so much of a standard to bear or social category.
