Driving lesson!

Had my first actual driving lesson where I got to drive rather than just sitting in a car yesterday! It was fun. We went down to the new area of Gungahlin where there's a lot of roads, but not many houses yet, so there were no cars. The roads were quite narrow, so that was amusing. At first, I just went in a straight line and practiced stopping,

Lol! I know exactly what you are going through! The gears are a total bum, Mum went though and exercise where the car wasn't turned on and she shouted gears for me to change to, to get the feel of the gears. 2nd to 3rd is the worst... I hate traffic lights when you have to turn, cos you have to get back to second. Anyway good to see you had a great lesson,. cant wait to hear more from it. I got to go to the city last lesson that was awesome.

lol, dad did that exact same exercise of changing gears with me! I agree - 2nd to 3rd is the worst. Goin to the city sound great. I can't wait until I actually get to go somewhere other than an empty set of roads :)

Ahh...driving lessons...remember them well! *shudder* and oh the clutch!!!!!!!!!! It's worth learning the clutch though. Certainly in the UK if you get a manual driving licence you can drive an automatic car, but not vice versa.

Yeah, absolutely hate the clutch. Not sure about the rule here, but I think you can drive a manual with an automatic licence, but only if you've had the licence a certain amount of time.
