Hey, all of my wonderful livejournal friends and anyone else who might be reading this... I'm applying to NC State and I've got to do three small essays.  The first two I've got down. But the third one I have no idea... so I thought I'd ask.

What is your view of diversity and its importance in education?? (In 500 characters or less)

Diversity doesn't necessarily mean race.
It can mean a difference of political views, approaches to learning, studying habits, sleeping schedules, etc.

Basically, having a wide variety of people around you will help shape everyone into who they will eventually become because they'll see part of themselves they never saw before in the new faces around them.

pretty much what Heath says. Having a wide variety of people and also teaching about it. Acceptance is good because not everyone is the same in the world, and it's not nice to have closeminded people.

PS: no I don't. hahaha. i do <3 my bed though
