I'm so confused. I'm getting pretty sick of TCBY, but there is a certain security in my little rut there and you can't beat the power of seniority...or can you? I'm considering working at Lane Bryant. One is opening up in Burlington and I've pretty much got the job, I just haven't decided if I want to take it. Here's the deal...I want to get out of ( Read more... )

The one in Mebane...across from the new Lowes. I've been there for a little over a year.

I have absolutely no advice for you. i have been in this situation before (when i worked at winn dixie & was a customer service manager) ... but luckily (not at the time luckily), they cut my hours so bad i basically had no other choice but to quit, and now winn dixie doesn't even exist ... so i really they decided for me, at a time when i was getting sick of winn dixie & a little unsure about the future. hey, you can always hope that tcby will burn or something & then you won't have to make the choice.

boy, that's a really terrible way of looking at it.

Hahahaha...but still, it is optimistic in a way. ;)
It's just hard because, although there are things about TCBY that really chap my ass at the time, I get over them so quickly and can really see a lot of good & bad in both jobs. The deciding factor - I'm pretty sure - is going to be hours. I get about 15 hours a week at TCBY (which is plenty!) and Lane Bryant is offering jobs for 15-20 hour part-time. So, if LB offers me longer shifts on fewer days a week, esp. morning shifts on weekends, I'll probably go there. Because it takes me four days to get 15 hours at TCBY, which is ridiculous because it messes up my whole day just to go up for two and a half hours.
