I can't believe it, I'm going to Otakon in 2 days <3!! I've never been to a con outside of California, let alone all the way over on the east coast. The fine folks at ACP and Funi recruited me into going to help out at the booth with promotions and OMG HETALIA fun times ... I seriously could not be more excited for what this weekend holds <3

Is shipping stuff (i.e. wigs) to the hotel ahead of time an option?

How close is your hotel to the convention center / airport? Depending on the hotel they might have a shuttle that can pick you up at the airport (free possibly even). Edit: I see you made a Shuttle reservation already, ignore me. XD

Good luck! I can't imagine traveling cross-country to a con!

oh yeah shipping might be cheaper and I hear a lot of people are doing that. I think UPS even has special boxes that can be turned into suit cases.

I personally bring a backpack for my carry on and put my laptop in that with some clothes and then take my purse as a personal item. sucks but sometimes you have to check bags.

Henry will have his laptop there (for updating the ACS) so if you're a good girl, you can sneak on there for your internets. And most hotels have like a business center that you can check as long as you got a room key.
