I realize that I should have at least tried to go to work today. The roads weren't all that horrible when I was driving home between 6 and 7 last night. Granted, some asshole going 50 in a SUV caused an accident I was involved in on University (I'm perfectly okay, and my car only got scratches.. but it still shook me up badly). And then I got stuck

Accidents definitely have a way of getting to you. About two years ago, I was driving from Denver to Boulder and my car skidded out across US-36. I ended up going off the road at the 120th exit and hitting the bottom of the ditch between the highway and the on-ramp. I still can't believe that nothing happened to me or my car, and that I was able to just drive away. It's really changed my psyche, though - I turn into the safest driver in the world when it snows, and I always get really nervous and freaked out about driving in bad weather.

I got lucky today - my work closed down. I figure I'll make the most of it and watch 3 or 4 movies, and maybe try to read a book or something.

I'm an overly cautious driver in the snow.. I'm that person that always goes like 20mph, and I really have never had any problems while driving in the snow. I have an Eclipse, and even though it's not an ideal snow car, I've never had any issues driving it in the winter in the 6 years I've had it. Even last week I got around just fine. Even though my stomach was pretty much jumping up to my throat every time I went anywhere. And this morning I certainly didn't fancy driving to the tech center for work.

My plan to watch anything failed miserably. The second I put my head on my pillow I was out cold. And stayed that way until my phone started ringing. I really should be doing something more productive like cleaning my apartment or washing clothes or something, but I'd much rather be a lazy piece of crap today. :)
