I watched a lot of the gymnastics this year. Last night was the women's all around championship, and USA took first and second. I remember watching in the upstairs, where our little TV got better reception, huddled in blankets on a couch with my mom. I hate Mondays because it's the start of the job search all over again. I have been doing this long enough that new jobs aren't really coming up. My housemate told me she loves her kitchen down there and it makes her want to cook. She says her last kitchen was bigger but it was closed in, and she prefers the open feel of this one even though it is smaller. I am very pleased to have someone who is liking it there. yay!

I finally got productive again and wrote a cover letter and resume. Two, actually. I updated my resume for teaching and re-sent that to a couple folks. THen I modified a different resume and wrote a cover letter. I find it easier to get enthusiastic about coordinating labs than actually doing lab work. Liason. So, I am feeling better overall.

I am starting to recover from my cold I think. It still sounds bad, but I am feeling a bit more energetic. The really hard part for me is talking. Using my voice just takes a ton of energy. I got my first blue egg today. There were three in there. One was small, two were brown, and one was blue. What a nice surprise! I wonder if the two brown ones were from Blackie, or if one of my americanas is going to lay brown and not blue. I love the big red tree in the corner. I love the contrast of leaf shapes in my yard, and that the trees are large and spaced so that I can see where the wind is blowing.
