Word. I feel the same way about shows like SG-1 and Atlantis. Leave the romances to fanfiction and blow stuff up.
Since I have a lot (probably not all) of The Sentinel on tape, I haven't been feeling a great need to get the DVDs. Until today. I sat down and watched the pilot episode with commentary that I downloaded somewhere and now I totally want the DVDs.

Exactly. Especially the whole "Jack and Sam thing," that got old pretty fast. It was never going to happen, please just let it go. I like both characters, but they just didn't work for me as a couple. At least not in the actual Stargate universe, I was okay with whatever they wanted to do in alternate timelines. But shows and movies should deal with other personal relationships and not just romantic ones, or just distract us by blowing lots of stuff up.
I downloaded the Sentinel pilot commentary as well, though I haven't listened to it yet. We'll probably check that out when we watched all of first season. I remember watching this show late at night on the weekends with my mom and sister. We were pretty addicted to the cheesy shows that ran that late (Two, The Cape). I didn't remember the show being this cute though! I look forward to the rest of the series being released on dvd.
