Bekah
Take it from a bachleor here. I eat at restaurants all the time all by myself. In fact, I went to see a movie this afternoon all by myself. There is nothing wrong with that.
Hope all is well

there is nothing wrong with going out by yourself. in fact you gave me confidence to do so myself. It was around the time that Star Wars 3 came out and nobody would go with me and you had posted about how you went out and spent a day just for you. So I went to that movie just for me. It was the coolest feeling ever!

awwwwwww!! We all definitely need some "me time" every once in a while... and I know it may be hard for you to get it now that you have beautiful Lorelei, so when I get back to Columbus in the Fall, here is one free coupon (ok- so more like 10 free coupons) for me to take care of your sweet girl so you can go have "me time" or even "we time" with your man :) Love ya! Happy Summer!

Wow. You are in SUCH an excellent place right now! Go you! And, just a tip, if you're not into the funny looks when you're out alone (something I seem to be doing with frequency-and almost wish I could do more!): Bring either a book or a journal. This way, you can think (esp. w/journal), and you're occupied so people think you came with a purpose and won't ask silly questions or look at you with pitty. And, even if they do, you don't need to worry about it because you're occupied. One of my best me-date lunches EVER was at the Twelfth Street Deli. It was one of the first warm days we had this year, and I sat outside under the little umbrella, got a newspaper, and sat and thought. I barely even looked at it, but it was nice to have something there in case I wanted to have entertainment.
Whew. That was long! All that to say that I think it takes a truly fabulous person to be able to genuinely enjoy her own company. Congratulations.
