I'm starting a writing group.  The most succinct description of it, in my brain, is: "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need." Which is my gender neutral, Marxist way of saying all are welcome and we're trying to structure things so it is flexible and beneficial to all, regardless of writing history or style. Your writing group sounds fun! If I still lived there, I would totally join!

I read the comments from the Walker show, and don't really know how I feel about them. I thought your comment was very graceful, though. Good job keeping a cool head when people were being mean!

I deleted a lot of mean stuff from my comment, mostly because I was so infuriated about other people being mean that it was unfair to just be mean right back. There are people who have valid points on both sides...I just don't appreciate the way people think they can just insult someone's hard work and then walk way. Bah! Bah, I say!

I would like this writing group to manifest quickly sir, thank you. I plan to work on my fantasy novel through it I think. Or possibly other stuff. I was thinking of inviting my neighbor but I'll wait for the official invite till I have more details to give her ( ... )
