*hugs* I'm sorry you didn't get it. Phoning them for feedback and advice about how to proceed next sounds like a really good idea; they'll know how serious you are about it, and if they can help, I'm sure they will. At the very least they could tell you your chances if you waited a year and came back with more experience.

Thanks Jj *hugs* I'm much more philosophical about it all now and I think everything will work out for the best. Cambridge sent me an email back and I'm definitely applying again for next year for the first application deadline. I'm really excited about what I can do in the meantime :)
