Ffff, so I basically said "Fuck you" to all my homework other than Visual Anthropology (due in 12 hours) this break :| Some things I knew I couldn't get done due to paint, but others were far less appealing than not doing homework. I'll make it up Saturday. And then Sunday maybe Ikea.

I did foolishly buy a new sketchbook, though. It's pretty ( Read more... )

Well, while I am not over that "asking parents for the really expensive things deal," I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. I mean, sounds like your sis doesn't need it until she gets her shit together.

Then again, it is hard in this economy for someone with no work experience to get a job.

I mean, I'm obviously not completely over it, but I feel guilty asking them for all these things when I'm using so much of their money for my college tuition. I just feel it's time to start taking things into my own hands, yanno? :P

That is very true, though. I'd be more forgiving if she actually tried, instead of blowing off every potential job that floats her way.

I always think about how nice it is when other people can ask their parents for things, because me? My parents ask ME for stuff, because I make more money than them.

I would totally be like *ranty rant ranr* at your sister, except for the driving bit, because I'm 22 and can't drive yet either. >_>;;

Have fun with the homework. :P

I do realize that we're quite privileged just to be able to rely on our parents for stuff :> At the same time, I feel like this privilege is making me, my sister, and a lot of my peers unable to take care of ourselves. One of my roommates last year had her parents do her taxes for her, which I found ridiculous. I think once you get a job, you should learn to do your own taxes

Do you live in an area with a good transportation system? Raleigh's sucks :( And part of the problem is that it's so inconvenient for mom to drive her everywhere, and we've been nagging her to get her license for *months*

XD; I'll try.
