Hey writers!

I have a question for all you writers out there.

When you've got a bunch of stories bubbling around in your head, how do you choose which one to work on first? :

I wish I could answer this but I always have like, maybe half a story bubbling at once? If that :C I am The Most Terrible when it comes to generating ideas, ugh.

I guess if I did have a bunch of ideas at once I would probably pick the one that ~felt~ the best (the one I was the most excited about, or something?) Or maybe the one that was the most fully-formed at that point. Or something. I feel like picking the Most Exciting one or the one I'm most passionate about would be the better choice, though, because I tend to get burnt out on stories really quickly and starting on a high point might be good....? idk.

/totally unhelpful

Haha, I have the beginning of a bunch, and I think my problem is I try to perfect them before writing them? I don't even know. And I'd try the "most passionate" route, but I'm ridiculously passionate about all of them x__x

So here I make a declaration! I'll start with the most exciting story. Now to figure out which one that is...

Good question. Sometimes I think that I need to start out with the first one if it's a series, just so I have everything down. But sometimes when you get a fresh idea and and it's best just to write for that so that you get all that brain awesome out on paper/screen. You're more passionate about that way and more likely to write, in my opinion.

Thanks! Also wondering, do you tend to overthink your world and make sure everything makes sense before writing, or do you just jump in and fix inconsistencies later?

I try not to make inconsistencies in the first place. But as you come up with more ideas, some things will clash, which do have to be fixed. I sort of take the same approach as I do to writing. When I have the idea, stick with it. Worry about the little things later.
