I think that I have found the biggest culprit!

I think being forced to deal with the unhelpful and downright rude employees at the Phantom Box Office in the Venetian has sapped me of much of my Phantom love, although I'm not sure how that exactly happened. I've been fighting with them tooth and nail for over a month, trying to find someone who works there who isn't an incompetent jerk (I'm ( Read more... )

You know, after about the third phone call and maybe a week without resolution, I would have gone to the BBB about it. There's simply no point in continuing with unhelpful people. And you'd be amazed at how quickly they become helpful when they've got someone else after them. BBB usually does the trick, but if not, you can always write to the Attorney General. As long as you've got documentation, just the act of reporting it usually gets them to wisen up. If they still don't refund, do a chargeback. (Deals with far too many idiot knuckleheads who steal my monies!) :D

Those are two very good ideas. :D I hadn't even thought about contacting the BBB - I'm writing my complaint now! >:D I also just filed a dispute with my credit card company, although I doubt it will do any good. Since they were tickets, I'm guessing they're going to say that we're so out of luck. At least I feel a little better about the whole mess by venting to others. And I'm so going to email Mr. Florante Mark V. Gagarin once I simmer down and am sure that my email won't be filled with obscenities telling him just how poorly the box office is managed. XD

I've actually found credit card companies pretty good about doing chargebacks, especially if you have a paper/call trail and it's established that you're owed money. Chargebacks are especially delicious because they not only refund your money, but it also costs the merchant extra and it hurts their reputation with the cc processors, so it's a bit of revenge. ;-)

I really hope that Capital One takes pity on me. XD It's not the money that is the problem; it's the principle of the matter! If you say you're going to give a refund, give a freaking refund instead of changing your mind later without explanation, and then refusing to talk to your customers. That's just lame. :P

I just finished my complaint to the Vegas BBB. Now I need to draft an email to the box office so I can tell them that I complained to them. ;D

Unfortunately, I don't have any paper trail at all, but I do have all of the dates and employee names, so hopefully that will help me. Really, just complaining and making their life a little more difficult is worth it to me. ;)

I'm glad that you can understand me. Some people think that I'm weird for allowing this to affect my love for Phantom, but I just can't help it. This experience has pretty much ruined the best show I've seen live, and that makes me even angrier ( ... )

Hahaha. I'm trying very hard not to kill anyone or anything. ;) I swear, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. :P I haven't been treated this disrespectfully since I was sixteen and the nurse at the hospital refused to treat my concussion until I admitted that I was drunk (I hadn't had a drop, but no one believed me until the blood test came back proving that I wasn't intoxicated :P).

They are very evil indeed. They almost make you seem good. ;)

I'm trying not to let it, but it's hard. :( I'm one of those "everything is part of the whole" people, so all of this crap from them is part of my Phantom world.

I did write an incredibly awesome scathing email today though, so I feel a little better about that at least. ;)

:D Yay bitchy e-mails! Woot Woot Wooters!

But it's not part of Phantom! It's part of the evil, evil outside world that happens when you're not emerged in Phantom. Hah ha!

I am good, silly.

I am excellent at bitchy emails. I smoked that guy like a salmon. >:D There is such joy in turning people's words against them...

I am trying! I listened to Florian Schneider today. I listened to Ian Jon Bourg. I LISTENED TO HOWARD. Nothing. Not even a stirring. :(

YOU ARE GOOD AT BEING EVIL.
