Okay, so I'm not going to make a serious September eleventh post. But I will say that anyone who wants to should read this, 'cause it's amazing and it made me cry and the dude lives in Lancaster, which I didn't know.

music meme - tagged by Kai because of my 'stereotypical lesbian music' :P )

YES THAT ONE. Thank you. Seriously, omg.

I listen to it and I'm not even a lesbian. *whimpers*

And you're right, you don't particularly. :P But that's okay, because if you weren't such a Beans you'd probably just get clumped into the stereotype of "lipstick lesbian", so, blah.

(Say hi to George for me while you're here! *giggles*)

George says hello and offers his undying love with a shower of brainroses, which are really neurons sculped into flower-shapes. *nods*

Also I want to know why Bridges means a lot to you, and I promise I won't laugh.

Because I was listening to it once the first time I read a very emotional fanfic, and ever since then when it's played I've been like, "Oh dear, Harry and Draco." :|

Ee, I love George. Possibly more than I love you. :P (Does that even make sense?)

Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, Indigo Girls - all these people are lesbians. And thus they write lesbian music which ALL lesbians listen to. Stereotypically, that is, which is of course quite different than "accurately". So I always say it's a good thing I'm not a lesbian, because I listen to such stereotypically lesbian music.

I think Dar is straight, actually, I remember reading it on wikipedia... *checks*

Aye, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dar_Williams:

While Williams writes songs that often touch upon her own past, she maintains that she hates "journal entry songs" and prefers to write for others. As a result, fans know precious little about her personal life. For years fans have argued over the question of Dar's sexual orientation; songs like "Iowa" and "The Blessings" have been said to be hinting at encounters with female lovers. After a magazine said she was bisexual, she said that she had been misquoted and was actually straight, although she added that she would have preferred to have "stayed ambiguous ... for the sake of solidarity" and so that all fans could relate easily to her music.

Dork? Me? *gaspeth*

I sent her an email ages ago, and she never replied. :| I had her mobile number and could have texted her, but I lost my old handphone and therefore lost her number.

I hate it when people suddenly disappear off the face of the earth, because then I tend to wonder morbid things like "have they died?" it worries me.

Woe. :(

I'd be like "OMG I MISS HER" but nearly every conversation we have has a Serious Lia Discussion in it, so I won't get into it.

I paid $20 for one song.

I searched my entire city to find the special edition of Sleeping With Ghosts and paid far too much for it, just so I could hear Running Up That Hill. I understand exactly where you're coming from. :-D
