1. Ah, thank you - I thought I was missing something.

2. Mmmm but if that's true then it was "dead" all through the first three books, so how was he operating and thinking? His body was resurrected, but Dumbledore says repeatedly that no magic can actually bring someone back from the dead. And we're not talking about his body we're talking about a bit of his soul.

3. But my point is, where was the brain when he was bodiless? There wasn't one. So which bit of soul got the consciousness? And was it then released from whatever object it was in? Because he was just like a free-floating mind, you know.

4. I know, and I think your theory makes sense, but what's the point of going through all that trouble to steal it - and we KNOW how much trouble it is - just to lock it up? WAIT. I just thought of something. We know Regulus was killed after trying to desert the Death Eaters. Maybe he died trying to destroy the locket.
