omg ashes to ashes. i think i'm gonna start watching that soon. do I need to know anything from LoM to enjoy it? 8DDD

I think you probably do need to watch Life on Mars first, just because Ashes to Ashes references it a lot - I suppose you could watch it without seeing LoM, but it would probably be.. pretty confusing :P You could just like.. wiki LoM and read that, but imo you should definitely watch LoM anyway because it's just amazing. AMAZING :D Your mind will be blown!

FFS I saw your entry title in my flist and had a weird moment wondering whether I posted an entry and I couldn't remember it.

WAS THAT SHIT MIND-BLOWING OR WHAT? But I had almost guessed what was going on. It was Keats that threw me off the scent so the ending was AMAZING! I have to admit, I had not thought LoM and A2A could have achieved such levels of masterful!
