Go has retaken my heart.

_____

Your opponents good move is your good move.

Never ignore a shoulder hit.

Riding the tiger it is difficult to get off.

Sente gains nothing.

Don't follow proverbs blindly.

"When you meet a master swordsman, show him your sword. When you meet a man who is not a poet, do not show him your poem."

 "When a pickpocket looks at a saint, all he sees are the pockets."

God does not play dice with the universe. God plays Go with the universe.

The strategy "your opponents good move is your good move" doesn't really translate well to other things, does it? Take Jiu Jitsu for instance... or chess. You really want to counter what your opponent is doing but not DO what your opponent would do.

does "your opponents' good move is your good move" apply always, though? Aren't there moves that are good for one and bad for the other? Maybe I'm not following exactly what that phrase means.
